Although, probably not the neatest dish you have seen, the vibrant colors of the fruits and peppers will make your taste glands water for a big bite. Try out the salsa recipes, and also do not be afraid to alter the ingredient profile some to suit your heat meter.

Salsa Recipe with Mango and Habaneros

List of ingredients:
  • 2 to 4 habaneros, remove stem and seeds
  • 2 ripe mangos, peel and dice into cubes
  • 1/3 cup green onions fine chop
  • 1/8 cup of apple-cider vinegar
  • fresh squeezed lime juice, ( 1 lime)
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • dash of salt, or, to taste
  • add water for desired thickness

Steps to make:

Here you have a choice. First you will want to add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Then you can decide to hand toss and mix for a more chunky and fresh preparation. Second, you can decide to add all ingredients into a blender and blend the mixture until desired consistency is reached. Either way it will be tasty. You can also adjust your balance of habaneros to match your heat tolerance. Add too many, and you could be running for the water spout.

When complete, place in the refrigerator to chill and marinate to bring out all the great flavors. This salsa would go well with many types of grilled meats such as chicken and fish dishes. You could also use you favorite garnish to round out the serving dish.

You may want to wear protective gloves when handling the peppers.
